It was a warm night for September, the students were all in the Great Hall eating their dinner. Meanwhile Nathaniel was out on the grounds enjoying the evening air. Nathaniel had a smile on his face as he read the letter from his father explaining how wonderful the year was going to be with the Dragons. Every word was meant to make Nathaniel jealous but it was not going to work. Nathaniel had spent the last ten years working with the Dragons and his father it was time to spend his time elsewhere like here in Hogwarts teaching students about magical creatures. Even though Nathaniel had spent majority of his time with Dragons he had traveled here and there learning about all sorts of wonderful creatures. It just happened Nathaniel rather spent his time with the most dangerous creatures Dragons, it was a passion he had for the misunderstood creature.
Nathaniel placed the letter back into his pocket and made a metal note that he would write his father back, tell him how much he loved it here at Hogwarts making sure to let his father know that he was having a better time here. Even if it was not entirely truthful. Nathaniel father knew that his son wanted to teach someday and was very happy for his son. He just liked to joke around with his only son just like Nathaniel loved to do it to his father. Placing the letter back into his pocket Nathaniel noticed that he had almost stepped into the Forbidden Forest. He gave a small chuckle. He was not afraid of the forest unlike most students here, since he worked with Dragons it was hard to be scared of trees and the darkness. Nathaniel continued to walk just outside of the Forbidden Forest going nowhere in particular.

Azraella headed outside, not feeling too hungry after having stuffed her face with the last of the sweets she had left over from the train journey to school. She'd managed to make them last for quite a while but there was only so long you could expect a girl to look and not touch when it came to delicious food. Azra couldn't understand all those girls who refused to eat for fear of putting on weight. Was it really worth missing out on food? No way, you'd never see this particular Hufflpuff swearing off food, even if she did start piling on weight.
Outside, Azraella started doing some sort of weird dance/walk thing, bopping along to a song that she'd had stuck in her head for most of the day. She didn't know what the song was, but she just couldn't get it out of her head. She knew about half of the words of the chorus and the rest was just a tune, playing on repeat in her head. It was driving her crazy, but that didn't stop her enjoying it and dancing like a bit of a weirdo as she headed across the grounds, feelings like taking a look at the forest. Well, she wasn't the sort to go exploring in it, but she did like to walk around near it because sometimes you could see different animals moving around inside, and there were loads of plants around the edges and she liked to challenge herself to see if she could remember any of them from Herbology.
When she reached the edge of the trees she spotted another figure not far away and it didn't take a genius to realize that it was the new Care of Magical Creatures Professor. Azra had been a little surprised the first class she'd talked into to find a different teacher there, but he was different in an interesting sort of way. As it was, she pretended to be concentrating on some flowers in front of her, though she was watching him out of the corner of her eye.
Being so close the dark forest, Nathaniel could hear the faint sounds of animal walking through the forest. Nathaniel stopped when he had thought he had seen something white in the corner of his eye. He took one step closer to the forest trying to make what it was. Nathaniel noticed whatever he was seeing was coming closer to him and was coming fast. “Bloody hell!” Nathaniel fell right on his back when the creature came out of the forest. It had scared the daylights out of him. Nathaniel looked up at the moth and waved his hand shooing it away. The forest held so many different creatures and the moth that scared Nathaniel was pretty huge in size. Only he had calmed down a bit, the Professor let out a small chuckle. Slowly Nathaniel picked himself off and dusted off his pants.
The moth flew around his head for a while before it moved back into the forest. Nathaniel watched it disappeared into the darkness a small smile crept on his face. He knew if anyone had seen this it would be a little embarrassing seeing as he was a full grown man, scared of a moth. Nathaniel decided he had enough and turned his heel to head back towards the school. His focus stopped when he had seen a student looking at some flowers that was near by. Nathaniel slid his fingers in his hair and looked down at the ground. He had hope that she had not seen that, but decided that she was most likely to busy with the flowers. Nathaniel cleared his throat before speaking. "Hmm. Miss, shouldn't you be inside."

Azra tried to keep her focus on the flowers in front of her and just watch for movement in her peripheral vision, but a sudden movement and a slight yell caught her attention, and she looked across to see that the new Professor was stumbling back from where he'd been standing to the point he fell, flapping at something. What was there? Azra looked at the forest thinking that there must be something there, but there wasn't, and it wasn't until she looked back at the guy that she noticed something white flying around his head. A butterfly? A moth? Something like that... did he just -?
The man in question stood up and Azra quickly occupied herself with the plants in front of her again before he had a chance to see that she'd been watching. Strange though... a Care of Magical creatures professor scared of a creature that wasn't even magical... who'd have thought?
"Hmm. Miss, shouldn't you be inside."
Azra turned and smiled brightly at him, giving away no signs that she'd seen what had just happened. "Oh I'm not hungry. Sweets are much more fillings." She reached to pluck a flower from the ground. If she was right, it was a flower that became much more fragrant once picked, and the air had a chance to react inside the newly opened stem. She threaded it through the button hole of her top, intending to wait and see how long it took before the smell kicked in. "Shouldn't you be inside?"
Thinking it had must be later in the evening now, he thought that now the students in the Great Hall were heading towards their Common Room. So that might that most likely this student should be inside by now. Nathaniel slowly walked towards the student. As he came closer to the girl he had looked down at the badge that was on her robe. ‘Hufflepuff’ He had made a note of that for later. Nathaniel was a Professor here so he had to make sure he could remember at least some of the students that he would meet.
Nathaniel listened to the Hufflepuff girl as she spoke about eating sweets instead of the dinner. He watched her as she went on looking and picking a flower. Nathaniel did not expect the student to be questioning him as he was a Professor and really he did not have to explain himself right. “I probably should be.” He gave a small chuckle. Nathaniel was a Professor and should be inside making a good example for the students of Hogwarts. “It is such a good night decided I should go for a walk.” The Professor looked down at the girl. “I’m not in trouble am I?” He joked.

Azraella didn't pretend to be completely sane or normal like most people - she knew she was a bit of an oddball and she was proud to be as such. She had a...different sort of out look, and she liked to just throw social expectations out of the window and do the first things that came to mind. She like spontaneous. And random. Random was good. She had an odd habit of trying to get to know people in weird ways, too - talking wasn't enough, she liked to challenge them in some way. Well, she thought of it was challenging them. To everyone else it probably just looked like she acted like more of a weirdo around them for a while for no apparent reason at all.
“I probably should be. It is such a good night decided I should go for a walk. I’m not in trouble am I?”
Ooh, a professor who knew how to joke? This was a first. She liked this. But how far did that humor extend to? That was the question of the moment. "Yes. Lot's of trouble. Filch will hear about this." She could hardly contain a grin. "He'll have you hung in the dungeons before the hour is out."
