Elise shoved her wand into her pocket as she poked her head around the corner. The coast was clear. She grinned at her own idiocy of sneaking out in the middle of the night. But her stomach was growling and there was no way she would be able to sleep without eating something. Her steps were quick as she raced through the dark hallway toward the kitchen. It was a place she had lucked upon a few years ago and then instantly shared with all of her friends, though most of them had seemed to already know about it. Ellie pushed herself against the wall to catch her breath before she tickled the pear and hopped inside the kitchen. She stood there for a moment, still trying to get her heart to slow down, as she pushed her hands back through her now wild hair. As she was standing there though, she heard the portrait make the creaking, pulling sound it always made as it opened. She gave a quiet squeak and threw herself to the side, ducking around the corner so she could wait to see who came in. If it was a prefect or a professor, she was going to die.

he lay in bed thinking. of what? who knew, this kid would just lay in bed thinking about everything and anything. past, the present and even the future. he hated when he couldn't go to sleep. he had been lying in bed for what seemed like ages, though it only had been an hour or so. he could hear the snore of his fellow dorm mates. what he would give to just be able to go to sleep. yes, this hasn't been the first time. he wasn't sure why he wasn't able to go to sleep as fast as the others. staying up and thinking about his problems was definitively not helping him much. he tossed and turned for a bit more and finally gave up, sliding out of bed he quickly grab a pair of shoes and a sweater. maybe he'd just walk around the common room. before long he was thinking of grabbing something to eat. he figured it would of been easier to summon it than go sneaking around all the way to the dungeons. this was the only thing that sucked about being up in the towers. of course through out the years fellow ravens had told him of short cuts. it took him around fifteen minutes to make it safely to the dungeons. tickling the pear before peeking inside, he spotted a figure."caught you this time."adrian said jokingly before showing himself. |

The familiar voice made her grin broadly as she popped back around the corner she had tried to hide behind. “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?” She lifted her brows at him before stepped closer and lightly hitting him on the arm. “Merlin, Adrian…” She placed her hand to her chest as if it would help it slow down any more, though the movement was useless. A bright smile slowly made its way onto her lips. Ellie tucked her hair behind her ear and made a face at him before brushing past and toward the cabinets. She intended on throwing every cabinet open until she found something that looked like it would settle the growling in her stomach. Elise turned her head to let her eyes take him in again before she lifted one brow at him. “What are you doing down here anyway? It’s much more likely that you’ll get caught by someone than I will. Shorter trek for me.” Elise lowered her hand from the cabinet door she had just flung open to point at him, like she was being serious about the warning. But she was rarely serious when it came to Adrian these days. He was one of her closest friends so she felt like she could get away with joking around. Elise turned her eyes back to the cabinet, lifting herself onto the tips of her toes so she could see everything, and started shoving things around in her attempts to find something delicious that wouldn’t make her feel like she was eating her own weight in junk food.

despite the fact that the two didn't look anything alike. they were often mistaken for siblings. it was actually rather funny. it was how they acted towards each other half the time. like siblings. he figured it all started on the train. after trying to be all sneaky like and trying to scare her, which he succeeded at he threw a grin in her direction."no, of course not."he laughed as he watched her come out from her hiding place."nice hiding spot there, i would of never found you."he continued to laugh as she came by him and hit his arm."ow, careful. don't damage the goods."he said jokingly as he followed in her general direction. leaning against the counter as he watched her search for food."more than likely the same thing you are here for...food."he shrugged slightly."im a ninja. super sneaky. of course i had help from those short cuts, but mostly my super sneaking skills."he joked."you're so noisy, im sure you will wake up half the castle the way you search for food."he said teasingly as he made his way toward the cabinets."so what are you going to make me?"asking with a grin. |

Elise narrowed her eyes at him slightly as he said that he wasn’t trying to give her a heart attack. She had her doubts sometimes. There had always been that part of their relationship, the one where he tried to scare the hell out of her on a normal basis. It had all started on the train and since then she’d been horribly attached to him, regardless of the fact he really did manage to scare her most of the time. Elise gave a snort of laughter. “I’m pretty sure I could tackle you and you’d still be fine. You’re like a mass of muscle.” Elise jerked her gaze toward him. “Do not take that as a compliment.” Elise let out a huff and pulled herself onto the counter underneath the cabinets. She pushed herself to her feet, having to duck her head a bit so she could still easily see all of the cabinet’s contents now that she was standing in front of them. “Oh? Since when am I your personal chef?” She lifted one brow at him with a wide grin and shake of her head. “What do you want?” Ellie shrugged her shoulders up, knowing that she’d probably enjoy whatever he picked so she could just make two and they’d both be pleased. “And I’m not that noisy…” She added as an afterthought.
